Stephen Tan
Senior Pastor, Regeneration Church Monash

Stephen Tan serves as the Senior Pastor of Regeneration Church Monash (Melbourne, Australia). He is also an Adjunct Lecturer in New Testament for Morling College (Australian University of Theology).

Stephen has served as a church planter and a trainer of church planters. He previously worked as a catalyst and trainer with City to City Australia for 3 years alongside pastoral ministry. He has trained pastors, planters, preachers and evangelists in Australia, India, Singapore and Malaysia. Stephen co-founded the Together for Clayton and Beyond network. He has written for The Gospel Coalition and Christianity Today. His research interests are in New Testament, preaching, missiology, culture and church planting.

Stephen is married to Kallie and father to Austin and Kieran. Stephen was born and raised in Malaysia, thinks char kuey teow is the best food on earth and is an avid Liverpool FC supporter.

Pete Greenwood
Lead Pastor, Inner West Church, Flemington

Pete Greenwood is the planter and pastor of Inner West Church in Flemington, Melbourne. He loves helping people see how the Gospel transforms all of life, and how everyday Christians can live with missional intentionality. He finds great joy in God’s generous gifts of good coffee, great beer and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Though his church ministry has a focus in the Kensington/Flemington area, Pete has long nurtured a passion that the western suburbs more broadly would see a movement of spiritual renewal as new churches are planted, established churches are renewed, and Christians gain a new willingness to be on mission. To that end, in 2019 he helped start a prayer movement of pastors and planters called Together for the West. Pete also works one day a week to help network and resource church planters and pastors in the West with the great tools and training that City to City Australia has to offer.

Pete is husband to Jackie and dad to Jonathan and Thomas.

Brad Watson
Gospel Communities & Equipping Pastor, Providence, Austin, TX

Brad grew up in Lisbon, Portugal. Before moving to Austin, he co-planted a church in Portland and led a church in the westside of Los Angeles. He’s passionate about seeing the church equipped and empowered to live out its calling in every sphere of life. Brad loves reading great novels, listening to good music, paddle boarding, and cheering on Liverpool F.C.
 
Brad graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University (B.B.A), Western Seminary (M.A.), studied apologetics at Oxford, and is working toward his doctorate at Houston Theological Seminary. He’s the author of multiple books and studies on the resurrection, advent, and gospel communities on missison. He and his wife, Mirela, have two daughters, Norah and Maitê, and one son, Truman.

For those not local to Melbourne, we would love to host you for the duration of Soma School! You’ll be able to stay in the home of one of the missional community leaders from Regeneration Church or Inner West Church. This will be a wonderful opportunity to see their life and be immersed in a gospel rich environment. This will be provided at no extra cost. Please indicate on your application form if you will require accommodation.
